Blurry Fish & Stunning Lookers

Wow, this is hectic. Just wasted several hours with an inept photo editing program at another cybercafe. Came back to this one for "IrfanView" software. Sooo ... why say with words what I can say with photos?

This is cruising speed at the Sydney Aquarium, home of shameless Finding Nemo adverts, Finding Nemo socks, Finding Nemo calendars and $30 aquarium t-shirts.

This is where I'm staying. They're keen on primary colors, finding Brit expats dayjobs and Wonderbread for breakfast.

Amy is a New Zealander. She's one of two very nice frontdesk people at Swagman's. She didn't want me taking her pic so no usual big smile.

The Victoria Building is basically a bunch of shops and offices. I think it used to be something else ... It's HUGE, three city blocks or so.

Dumpster-diving ibises aren't something you see everyday ... unless you live in Sydney where exotic birds are as common as the pigeons.

Oh so touristy Darling Harbor, home of the Sydney Aquarium and roving herds of screaming Asian kids.

They take life-size chess very seriously at Sydney's Hyde Park, especially during lunch hour (it's nothing like London's Hyde Park).

Sydney's big. At least the size of Seattle and I've only seen downtown South Sydney. No idea what life out in the burbs is like. It's very multi-cultural, everybody's from somewhere else and, as an aquaintance from Kent put it, "You're in a nation of stunners and this is the capital." Basically on a scale of 1 to 10, everybody in America and the U.K. is a 5 compared to the lookers here.
